I softmodded my xbox with the SC exploit while the original harddrive was still inside. I used xboxhdm1.9 to clone my harddrive onto my 250gb maxtor. It works like a charm, however I only have up to the 137gb. I have read and read and read to figure this out. I keep getting close but every tut I have found says to flash the bios on the chip. Well since I don't have a chip I am not sure of what to do. My dash is Evolution-x +3935. When I go to settings, I click yes on enable F and on G. But in settings it list my space as 0. I have downloaded Slayers but it references flashing the bios also, will slayers work? I know I have read about the LBD48 file or something like that to give the extra space. What I am wondering is: Can I use slayers to format G drive only and not lose any information on F drive, would that work? Maybe I have missed the answer but believe me, I have looked and looked and looked. Thank you for any help.

There is an option for it in evox settings or on the slayers disk? Do I need to download anything from the usual places to flash the bios? The bios is +3935 and I didn't see one newer than that.

Thanks,

KJ

you can not flash the bios on a softmod (it uses NKPatcher or PBL)
3935 is the dash version
just format G, it will not harm F

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just want to make sure I get it right. You say to format G. Can I do that with Slayers or do I need to get NKPatcher or PBL.

Thank you,

KJ

you could modify your bios with xbtool and have all of your space on F. see this thread...

http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=235229

If you do it that way, I don't know if you can keep what you have on your f drive right now, I think you would need to reformat F.

I added lba48 support to my bios (X2 3981) and added it to the xbhdm disc so my new 160gb hd was completely set up before it was even installed in the xbox.

Shadow said there is an option for flashing bios in evox. Where in the dashboard is it or do I need to use the slayers disk. Sorry for so many questions but I have a years worth of stuff on F drive and I don't want to lose it. I read the readme on xbtool and it talked about f drive but not g drive. I read the readme on nkpatcher and it says there is LbA48 but doesn't tell me how to use it. If nkpatcher is the only way to do it then I will find more info on how to use it.

Thanks

You do not flash your BIOS with a softmod. Use Slayers to format your G drive as xman said.

Xman said to use nkpatcher or pbl. My question was if Slayers would work. If you say slayers will work then I will use it because I have already downloaded it.

Thank you for your help.
