Reformat Original Xbox Hd

is it possible for me to wipe out everything on my original xbox hard drive using my PC?.....something has happened to my xbox, i can't remod it anymore.....i can play original games but i can't play the backups.....i tried using the Slayer disc, but it won't work anymore......

From what I've heard but haven't tried this is (roughly) what you need to do:

1. Unlock the drive
2. Make Windows boot disc
3. Boot your pc off the disc and run fdisk
4. That should start the windows formatting app
5. Find the formatting option and let it go. (Make sure you format the right drive)

I've been trying to do this same thing all day but I still have one question. I used slayer 2.6 to set up my hdd that I want to reformat and I am wondering if my hdd would even be locked?

This is frustrating as hell.
