put a crossover cable from the pc to the xbox..

change the PC ip to something like 192.168.0.1

then in your xbox settings... tell it STATIC IP = YES
and set your ip on the xbox to .. 192.168.0.2

now your pc and xbox are networked together... telnet like normal to the xbox ip address...

and yes you will loose internet connection doing this..

If you have cable internet normally your pc ip is set to OBTAIN a IP
if DSL usually it is manual so if you have this make sure you keep your original ip info so you can change it back and get on the internet.

if you have dialup same as cable modem just follow my instructions.

that should be it.. if you know the rest.

Firstly, make sure your 2 PC NICs are on different subnets. You can do this by making the 2nd last set of digits in the IP different.
ie.
NIC 1: 192.168.0.xxx
NIC 2: 192.168.1.xxx

Then, make sure your Xbox is on the same subnet as the 2nd NIC.
eg.
Xbox: 192.168.1.xxx

Is this the way you've got it setup?

majik655, dude.... if you dont know the correct answer dont even bother.
lpfix: your doing it all wrong dude. you first have to copy the saved game to your xbox via www.game-saves.com software.
use a cross over cable if you are going to connect it stright to the xbox to PC. for your network card in your PC. change the network settings to subnet 192.168.0.1
once you do that. bring up the dos prompt then type this
telnet 192.168.0.64

username is root
password is xbox

its the other way around Dzv,
nic one goes to xbox
nic two goes to internet.
the xbox MUST have the subnet 192.168.0.1
the reason for this is because the 007 hack is only made to respond to this setup any other setup will fail.

OK, sorry about that. I didn't realise that the 007 hack could only work on that particular subnet.

ok... im a bit confused here... so im in my tcp/ip settings on general tab and filled out my nic that gonna connect to xbox like this....

Ip address: 192 - 168 - 0 - 64
Subnet mask: 255 - 255 - 255 - 0
Default Gateway: 192 - 168 - 0 - 10

my nic to the internet is set to auto obtain ip since im on a cable connection...

now the thing is i dont get about setting subnet on xbox 192.168.0.1

that all i need help with , i know the telnet commands to connect to the xbox , but the only thing im missing now is how to set up the ip on xbox??? because the way im reading what your saying is i have to change something on the xbox itself?? is that right? if so how do i do so?

or that subnet mask i got in tcp/ip settings is that where i put 192.168.0.1??? if so then im good to go for the rest , thanks for your patience i really appreciate it

if you dont understand the first post couple of posts that me and dzv made, then i suggest you not even attept to use raincoat.
as far as your IP issue's.
here are some answers for you questions....
if you have 2 network cards. one of them is connected to your Internet and the other is connected to your xbox via crossover cable. under network settings you would have to give your 2nd network card (xbox connceted one) an IP
192.168.0.7 <---your IP and its a broadcast IP addy
255.255.255.0 subnet
192.168.0.1 gateway

then your xbox settings
192.168.0.8
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1

if you dont understand this then dont even bother doing raincoat.
