Hey guys,
I'm preparing to mod my Xbox, and I will order everything as soon as I figure out exactly what I am doing (ha). I have decided that I want to run EvoX and XBMC, but also Xbox Linux. I think I read somewhere that Linux needs its own BIOS. I was planning on buying the DuoX 2 modchip, but I am pretty sure that only supports one BIOS. Will I need 2 BIOS's with the setup? If so, what modchip would you reccomend?

Thanks in advance

EDIT:I forgot to ask, how do I know my Xbox version (1.X)?

You can run Linux as an application -- you do NOT need the Cromwell BIOS to use it. You can also launch it with any other BIOS that allows you to run homebrew code (ie: Xecuter 2 5035).

As for determining your version, click here for a tutorial.

Thanks for the tut, sorry I was too dumb to look on the page and see the other topic about figuring out your version...

Anyway, so I can just run a program out of XBMC that will start up Linux?

Yep. You just need to do an E or F install instead of native install (which will make sense when you go to install Linux). Xbox Linux can read and write to the Xbox file system (albeit a bit slowly), so you can use iit just like any other application.
