I installed a smartxx v2 in my 1.6 xbox recently. It booted up fine to the smartxx menu. I burned evox bios to a dvd and flashed the chip with it. It flashed fine, and i burned another disk with the evox dash, and tried to start it up (using the new bios of course) so i could ftp and replace the default dashboard but it wont recognize the disk, nor any other disk including game disks etc. No matter what i put in it allways doesn't recognize it. I can start up in the default bios and it will recognize game disks but the evox bios wont recognize anything.

Specifically, what evox bios did you flash?

Try using m8+ v1.6 and see what you get.
