Alright I wanna put a dvd window in my xbox. I even have a dremel. I know you cut a pretty good size hole in your case and then you cut some metal off the DVD drive and I don't know where to cut. But from some tutorials I see they have problems. And...do I put like plastic/plexiglass on the case or DVD drive.

i am no professional at this modding game, as i have only just done my first case mod. What i did was cut a hole in the case above the DVD drive then cut a hole round the center bit of the dvd drive to show the disc off inside, i think you need to leave that circle bit on the dvd drive so it steadys the game in the drive. again i aint too hot on here at modding but if you look at my other posts you will see my dvd drive and im having no problems with games not reading.

I am sure there will be another more experianced modder along soon to give you better instructions but thats what i did.

good luck.

most of the ones I've seen have everything cut but leaving a big metal X of metal over the drive. the corners have the best support and it leaves the middle that way.

Do NOT cut the circle (spindle) out of the middle, you don't necessarily have to make a horseshoe shape, but you HAVE to leave the circle in the middle

to deal with the so called dust issue he carefully put surran wrap over the cut part of the dvd drive and filled the case part with lexan biggrin.gif

Im not gonna wrap in in surran wrap. But when it gets dusty (if it does) i will use my canned air for it. smile.gif
