Hi,

I promise this will be the last post concerning the display timings in xdsl. Gear: xbox 1.6 and Viewsonic n3000w 30" lcd-tv. Hdtv-component cables. I have done the following:

1. Ran moninfo on a Window$ laptop (via a standard vga-cable) to get the modeline info directly from the display. I got the following numbers:

1024x768 65.000 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806

also

1280x768 80.140 1280 1344 1480 1680 768 769 772 795

2. Then tried sudo fbset -g 1024 768 1024 768 16 -t 65000 20 20 20 20 136 6

3. Result: Totally yellow screen sad.gif

Questions: Are my calculations right? Is this even possible to work ('cause I got the numbers via a vga, not via component)

Please the ones with experiences/better knowledge about framebuffers, would you comment on this.
