Okay, so I was bored last night and decided to tear into the 360 remote. Check it out!

Teeheehehee! I hope you like it! That switch is for the light. I thought about making it for the remote (and could have done that), but I didn't. And the button presses perfectly too! Doesn't stick, goes up all the way, just like normal! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I love the remote, It's nice to be able to change songs during a game without actually opening the guide and disturbing the action. Especially in MP games in like Q4.

Anyways, nice mod, I wonder how it'd look with a blue LED...

Haven't any of you guys used the other fancy remote? I have them side-by-side at all times. The big one light up all over, including the buttons. I use it to change songs on my 360 when listening to my iPod. BTW in case you guys don't know, you can use the little arrow button on the remote in-game to change songs without loading an annoying guide screen.

That is pretty awesome, I really thought they should have made the remote light up to match the controller. Very cool.

Yea, I agree. They should have made the X light up. It makes a lot of difference. But then again, there would have to be some sort of power switch, or auto off or something to prevent the battery from dying. Thats why I put a switch on it.

I'm still wanting to get into my wireless controllers.... blink.gif biggrin.gif

Didnt use any resistor? You're essentially shorting the batteries because leds have very little resistance. I'm no expert but just something I remember from school.

instead of a physical switch you should have used a tilt sensor and a 555 timer... so if the remote moves the light stays on for X amount of time... that way whenever you pick it up the light will come on smile.gif

oh yeah... moving to case moding
