I have a crystal 1.6 and it is softmodded, and i want to change the hard disk drive. I have a solderless xecuter 2.6, but i dont think it is compatible with 1.6, is there anyway i can install my new drive without it?

Oh yeah just backup your eeprom and C: drive then ftp it to your pc..Also you could ftp udata and tdata over to your pc too if you want your saves and music..then get xboxhdm from xbins and put c: files in C:folder and eeprom in eeprom folder and put your udata/tdata in e: folder than make iso..Burn iso to disk and set xbox hd to master..unplug pc hd plug xbox hd to primary master on pc set cdrom on pc to master..set pc bios to boot cdrom than boot up xboxhdm than select build drive from scratch.etc theres more info in my sig but that basically what you do...

Edit: if you need more help or get confused just pm me im usually pretty quick at responding..

Edit: also the hd your putting in has to be lockable i had to set my pc bios to none on primary master to get mine to lock..
