Basically I took the analog thumbstick off my original controller and moved them to my wireless controller.

also for good measure I took the D-pad off my S controller to make it black.

I think the thumbsticks on the original xbox controller are a ton more comfortable than the ones on the S type and then new 360 controllers. Its all a matter of preference. This is the second time i've moved those thumbsticks. First from the orinal to the S controller and now from the S to the 360 wireless. For me its worth it. I was getting lots of shanks to the right on TigerWoods 2006 and now I'm not.

Wish I would have found this last night... broke one of the sticks right off thinking they twisted on, nope it's a pull off. Fixed it with a screw from the D-pad and some crazy glue, still works but the wife was watching and now I have to hear it from her... lol. Thanks for the tut man this is going to be awesome going to get a used controller today!

There's no reason to bump an over 2 year old thread for that, check how old something is before digging it up next time. Try looking/posting in the 360 B/S/T as well if ya need any controller parts.
