everytime ftp over to my xbox i overwrite the files for the new t3ch builds and then it wont load up again, i have it as a dash and my bios will load it, i know to rename the extra file in the latest compilations and put it in c: and then you dont have to mess with it. do you have to get rid of a save file with your settings or something, or can it be done with them intact.

Or..........and i dont delete C:\default.xbe as i believe its just a shortcut to xbmc.xbe

Rename F:\XBMC to "F:\XBMCBAK"

Upload the new XBMC to F:\XBMC
Delete the XBMC saves via M$ Xbox dash
Copy the xboxmediacenter.xml from F:\XBMCBAK to F:\XBMC overwrighting the old one

Now it should boot up just fine unless some major changes to xboxmediacenter.xml were made in the update. If that is the case then you'll have to open up the newer version and set everything right.

However most of the time it will work fine, if that's the case then you can delete F:\XBMCBAK and ur done.
