Will the box boot with 96 mb of ram? Or will it only boot if it has either 64mb or 128? so in other words, will it boot with only 6 chips installed and not the full 8.

Even if it boots up(unlikely) it would only show 64 mb of ram.Just get some more ram chips to get it to work.The xbox V.10 thru V.15 can only do 64 and 128.No higher lower or in between.

it will boot anyways, but the 32 MB wont be detected.

only 64 or 128 will work, it wont detect 96 mb
