when i try to play a halo wav file it says i need the codec Voxware Byte Aligned 69, can anyone please help me

That's not the codec you need. You need the Xbox ADPCM Codec, which you can get from this site's main page...

I am new to Xbox Audio editing, and to this website. Could you please give me a link to the Codec? I have windows media player 11 I do not know if the codec will work with it becuase I have just tryed a codec and I get the same thing. Thanks.

Make sure to follow the instructions which come with it.

Wait, the sound files in Halo xbox is in wav format? Because the ones for Halo PC is in .sound format, and I don't know how to play those. Is there a way? Are all the sounds for Halo xbox and Halo 2 in wav?
