On my aladdinXT modded 1.1, holding L/R/black/white/back/start restarts the xbox no matter what its doing, Rom, Game, Music whatever.

Just modded a friends 1.6 with the same chip, different BIOS of course (dont ask about putting a 1.1 bios on it lol) but neglected to solder the BT - ground for the "always on", which is how my 1.1 is setup.

anyway, i cant restart the 1.6 with the controller.

is the "not always on" part messing me up?

or is this part of the BIOS?

Im sure that its got something to do with the bios. IGR (in game reset) must be on in the bios for this to work.

What Im not sure is whether the "always on" affects it at all. I think the always on affects whether you can turn on/off your modchip and thats it.

Anyways, check the bios first (perhaps get one that allows you to do it =P , like the xecuter 2 5035). Always remember to choose the right version!

Good Luck.

The always on, vs. soldered to the Bt doesn't make a difference.

Make sure the bios you used has it enabled. And in the dashboard that you have it turned on. (Avalaunch I know for sure you can enable/disable IGR)

ill have to have a friend check the BIOS, and/or make a new one for me, being on OSX does have its downfalls eh?

I use XBMC on all my boxes, no IGR setting.

well I guess it has to be the BIOS.

XBMC as a main dash doesnt do an IGR in the XML file, and it doesnt use the evox.ini file either.

unless I am mistaken

in which case I guess I have to find a 256k 1.6 BIOS with IGR turned on?

Sigh xbins is down....

Cant get an M8 bios anywhere like usual, and when I do I cant "edit" them with EVTool to change the IGR setting.
