What type is your computer? Static or DCHP?
Make sure your computer and your xbox don't have the same IP's.
If you switch your xbox and computer both to DCHP it's a lot easier.

To check what your computer's is...go to Network Connections under control panel.
Double-Click on your main internet connection
Click on the properties button
Scroll down until you see Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Click it and then click properties
If the both of the caption buttons are set to auto then your computer is set to DCHP

Go to the system settings on your xbox and make sure that is set to DCHP.
Everything should be automatically set from there.
Make sure under your FTP window that the IP is set to what it is on your xbox. Port 21 and make sure the usernames are correct.

Have fun FTP-ing!
