Hi all

Not sure which forum to post this in, anyway....

When I boot my xbox, it gets past the MS splash (says xecuter-2 at the bottom) and to the Avalaunch splash, but it freezes there. I can't FTP to my xbox to reload Avalaunch, because it never loads properly.

and when I switch off my chip, I get an error code 05 - your xbox needs service.

What do I need to do? Do I need to create some time of boot disk to start Avalaunch?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ok, error 5 is because you are trying to boot the MS bios with an UNlocked HDD. you would have to lock it first.

But.. As for it getting to the avalaunch screen and freezing..

There are a few things..

First, if you failed to mention that you were changing the skins on Ava or maybe doing some differnt settings then rebooted and it got that way..... might help to say what you did.
Like, if you go to change the skin and screw up, or pic a skin thats not full, and it rebbots it will freeze on a black screen.

Or, the HDD could be dying and unable to boot..

But what you are saying here is strange because I dont think it would all of a sudden out fo nowhere start freezing..

MAybe some more details.
What chip are you using?
