I plan on extending the lan so that will be fine, but can i desolder the A/V? I am doing this mod and im putting my xbox on a new case and i dont want to have to put new holes in it. The first one on this page. With the coaxl added on. http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=213487

Also, how do I hook up a Laptop HDD to my xbox? Can I use it as a main Hdd so it will fit better in the case?

dude..just make a male to female lan extension cable..(ask around..i saw someone here who did it..and instead of soldering to the xbox for the video mod..just make a cable instead...just get an old normal av cable and cut off the end and solder there..plenty of ppl have done this and all you haveta do is get the pinouts of the connector and then you can still use that gude u linked to..just match the pins

Yes, you could desolder the LAN & AV connectors... but why would you want to? Just do what he told ya to do and use a cable.

Dunno about the laptop HDD though.

Something like this would allow you to hook up a laptop hard drive:

As far as the AV connector, it sounds like you want to make an advanced AV pack equivalent, without the svideo, so it may be better to use the second picture because the switches may be necessary.
