I fried my old Xbox and I bought a new one, which I modded, and I have the backup files that it made before I installed the softmod. How would I make a bootdisk using these files? Which files do I make an ISO of and how do I burn the DVD with Nero 7?

This is how the directory looks of my MS backup:

Backup
----MS
--------Audio------------------------(folder)
--------fonts-------------------------(folder)
--------xboxdashdata.185EAD00-(folder)
--------xodash-----------------------(folder)
--------XBox Book.xtf
--------Xbox.stf
--------xboxdash.xbe

Thank you.

Making an ISO of the MS dash files won't do much for you. The MS dash cannot be booted from DVD since the XBE is hardcoded to boot from C:\

You can always put the backed-up files in a folder on a CD/DVD in the event you need to copy them but it would be much easier to use a regular evox (or similar) boot disc and FTP the files in that event that you'd need to.

ok heres how to do it. Put the ms dash files into a folder. Get unleashx form the usual places. Put unleashx files into a folder, then put the ms dash folder into that folder.

Get qwix.

Make an iso of the folder.

Burn the iso at slowest speed to dvd-r or whatever the xbox boots.

Load the disc, go to file manager, go into d drive on the left and then go into the ms dash folder. Press right trigger to navigate the other half of the screen to the root of the c drive.

Left trigger back and press white i believe to open the sub menu, select all and then copy. The files will then copy to the root of c.

Alternatively you could just make an iso of any dashboard with ftp support. Boot it and ftp in and drop the files on the xbox' c drive.
