sad.gif I've got a spider GX modchip finally installed, I've flashed the X2.5032 Bios on it now if I have an Metal GearBox (External HDD reader/writer via USB) for my laptop, can I take the Xbox HDD load it to my PC and put all the things such as XBMC, bios, etc, without damaging the pre-installed components of the XBOX?

Your mod chip should support unlocking of the hard drive, all you need to do is use your bios to unlock the harddrive, or use a program like configmagic which can be found at the usual places... Once the harddrive is unlocked, the answer would be yes...you can plug the hard drive into your computer add whatever files you want to and then hook the sucker back up...

make sure you lock the harddrive when you are done, although the xbox will run with the modchip on if the harddrive is unlocked once the mod chip is off such as to play on xbox live you will recieve an error 06...

If you need more assistance feel free to ask...

Good Luck and God's Speed...
