Not sure if this has been posted or not. Search is down.

I was playing with my original xbox listening to my favorite vocal trance on shoutcas. I thought to myself, how awesome it would be if I could listen to this on my xbox 360. I wasn't sure it was possible so I did some digging and I found out exactly how to do it.

Its amazing easy. I know it works with standard audio shoutcast. I have not tried anything with video in it.

You will need a media center pc in order to do this.

Directions are here:

You can actually have more than one url in the file, each on its own line. So there is nothing to stop you from making a large list of all your favorite stations. The only concern here is the playlist is titled "by the url" or by whatever is "after" the /. So my current song is titled which happens to be Digitally Imported vocal trance. The playlist file is named vocal trance and only the two feed options are there so it doesn't really matter. I suspect one could be more descriptive in the actual playlist file. I will experiment further when I get some time.

So if you've wanted to listen to shoutcast, now you can.
