From Xtreme's readme:

Run build360.bat (Xbox 360 game) or build.bat (xbox 1 game)
Ensure your burner will set the booktype of DVD+R DL to DVDRom
Burn with CloneCd and choose the image.dvd file

When the booktype field (bitsetting) is changed to DVD-ROM then DVD players are fooled and will think the user has put in a DVD-ROM disc instead of a DVD+R disc and will read it accordingly. This results in an increased chance that the player is able to read the disc and that’s why the ability to change the booktype field (bitsetting) is essential to a lot of users. Certainly owners of a DVD player that requires this field to be set to DVD-ROM, in order to work properly, will prefer a DVD recorder that supports setting the booktype field. - Quote from CDFreaks.com

REMEMBER you must have a bitsetting capable DVD+R DL drive. If you do not you may be able to upgrade its firmware (wow a legit firmware flash!) See here for a LOT of drive firmwares: http://tdb.rpc1.org/

To set the booktype in DVDInfoPro:

Start DVDInfoPro
CLick on the +RW icon on the top row
Select DVD-ROM
Press button marked "Change +RDL Mode"
Press Close

Now whenever a DVD+R DL is burned it will be bitset to read like a DVD-ROM.
BE AWARE: If you start Nero or similar that can also change the bitsetting, make sure Nero is set to "unmodified" or "current recorder setting", found in Recorder-> Choose Recorder then select the drive and click on "Options"

Lots of info here: Bitesetting FAQ

Hope this is useful! No more coasters!

Hi, I've tested the following drives:

NEC 2500 (supports bitsetting)
NEC 2510 (supports bitsetting)

ATM I'm burning on Platinum DVD+R DL's, I'll change my post when I know the result of the burn.

Regards, DeaL

most all drives that support it will have a program on the website to allow changing of the bitsetting
i wouldnt trust a 3rd party program (like clonecd) to set it for you.

i also tested my bitsetting with a dvd-r and i loaded it up and profile is dvd-rom
weird considering i thought + was the only one that supported bitsettings

you need to set your dvd writer to DVD-ROM bitset/booktype. It is the only way the isos you burn will be recognised by the xbox 360. If you burn with nero is can overwrite to dvd+r for example and that will be an unplayable coaster

I was wondering if someone could tell me that when I changed the booktype with DVD Decrypter and start burning the image with Nero, will Nero use this booktype setting?

Thanks!

For some strange reason I can change the settings on one PC (NEC2510) but when I when I select the .dvd file I have to select the image type (as in data mode 1 - block size 2048 or data mode 1, raw - block size 2352)

On both block size 2048 and block size 2352 it says that the entered block size doesn't correspond with the image length.

When I select a block size of 2048 it finally gives me an error that the disc is illigale and stops writing sad.gif

Anyone got an idea? Thanks alot!

Regards, DeaL

correct me if I'm wrong, I have a Pioneer 108 (not DX) and if I understand how it works, it automatically bitsets DL media to dvd-rom, can anyone confirm this?

doublecheck it in dvdInfoPro - it will show you there as per instructions above
