sorry search hasnt worked for me in a long time so i was unable to find anything. before i go pick up a usb extension can it be plugged in and work since it has the extra guide button or will something else need to be done if it has already been tested and worked. my "s" controller has seen its better days

i remember someone brought up this topic...and i remember someone tested it out and it didnt work....so im gonna say that no its not possible to use the 360 controller on your reg xbox

i did remember someone asking about it when the 360 first came out but i never checked the outcome because i never thought i would buy a 360

they wont work since the controllers are digitally signed to work on a 360 and a PC thats it =/ It would be nice if it did work tho =/

The signals are just different...

The Xbox360 will not accept a controller without the security chip.

you could use it in linux, if you had the driver. but not in games and apps

I wonder if you could reprogram it's USB chip...... Neah, too hard to do for such a thing I think (altho, probably possible)

im sure you can actually do it if you use the wired controller, and desolder it and make your own cord for it like you would with the sega genesis controllers and such.
