is there anyway i can configure xbmc to show me when i recieve new emails? uhh.gif

not by itself, but there's a pyhton script to check your e-mail. have alook around over at http://www.xbmcscripts.com/, there's a lot of cool stuff

Yeah man, I would love a script that could tell me if I have any new hotmail messages, it would pop up a window like the pm box here.. I wish I knew python scripting and I'd give it a try.. How hard is it to learn? Do it take a long ass time?

it's completely subjective. have a look at the stuff in the python board here and over on XboxMediaCenter.com. there's already a POP3 script. if i remember correctly, MSN changed it awhile ago so if you want POP3 access to a hotmail account you gotta pay for it, or use one of those POP3 simulator programs. according to Wikipedia, Hotmail access can only be done for free with WebDAV, whatever the hell that is...
