I've never been able to access the gamesaves manager.

I've been using three different t3ch releases, always with updated MC360 skins.

First it crashed while loading the save "Kung Fu Chaos". I tried remedying the situation by deleting the save (in the MS dash). After that it continued to scan, but stopped again while reaching Halo 2

This is the log file

This is a screenshot

I hope this will be of some use.

I was using old builds before so i didnt put much into it. But with the current builds of XBMC and MC360, this is still happening.

Any way to fix this?

NHL 2006 causes this freeze/crash on the July 9th 2006 build (latest) and you have to restart XBMC or the xbox to get XBMC running again.

*bump*

I think I've installed every build of MC360 there is (with the tag-a-long releases of XBMC) and I've still to this day not seen the game saves manager. It hangs at certain gamesaves (i.e. Halo 2, Kung Fu Chaos, Gauntlet Dark Legacy) Is this being worked on?

Or is there some fix I don't know about?

As reported constantly in previous threads about this same thing, which you obviously didnt search for:

Some saves which are faulty, hacked, errorous, can screw with the Game Save script. Now Donno has done and amazing job putting alot of error handling into the script, he simply cannot cover EVERY error.

What you guys need to do when you have an error, is log into your XBMC ftp while the GSM has crashed and get the xbmc.log from the main directory and host it on pastebin.com then link us, that way we can see the save its failing on and why its failing.

If you guys dont help us out then we cant fix everything, we have fixed all the bugs we where having personally and that others where having, but as more and more hacked saves are out, we will need everyones help to sort the problems.

Thanks.

Ok, I'm bumping my old thread with (hopefully) something that will shed light on this particular bug.

As I mentioned earlier (with logs and all), the script freezes at different saves. Or atleast I thought so.

Now, I know dick all about Python, so all I really paid attention to was was the savegame it was reading according to the Skin GUI.

What I did is I deleted the certain saves it freezed on, and watched as it continued to read the rest. More detailed:

Here's what I did, steb-by-step:
1. Boot in "debug"-mode
2. Enter savegame manager
3. Freezes on Kung Fu Chaos
4. FTP'd in and copied the logfile
5. Deleted the Kung Fu Chaos save

6. Boot in "debug"-mode
7. Enter savegame manager
8. Freezes on Gauntlet 2
9. FTP'd in and copied the logfile
10. Deleted the Gauntlet 2 save

11. Boot in "debug"-mode
12. Enter savegame manager
13. Freezes on Halo 2
14. FTP'd in and copied the logfile

It's been awhile since I did the Kung Fu Chaos log, but the Halo2 and Gauntlet logs are made with xbmc 2.0 and mc360 0.99b (unmodified)

The funny thing I noticed know is, it displays exactly the same errormessage:

This appears to be Tiger Woods 2005, which means what the skin GUI tells you it's reading, is not necessarily true. I deleted the TW crap and saw the savegames manager for the first time.

Luckily I didn't delete my dear Halo 2 save.

Dunno if this helps you with anything, but it sure solved my problem smile.gif

If you for some odd reason would like a copy of the Tiger Woods save, let me know, or I'll delete it.

ok i give you my solution. the game saves manager not freeze only on tiger wood but very very most other gamesave. but i think i have a solution.

download with xbmcscript (the script download manager) the game save manger 1.5

after go with file explorer in your folder "scripts" and copy and paste this two file : limpp.py and limpp.pyo to the folder of mc360 named "extra"

two month before i doesen't use the save manager, i erase many and many save. he scan but continually he freeze on new other save. now i can enjoy with my savemanager. and with all save i think. please test it for me thanks.

(sorry for my bad english i'm french)

Thanks for the tip chibitetsuo. Now my gamesaves work again love.gif
Btw there is no limpp.pyo in the gamesave manager 1.5 so i copied only limpp.py in the
extra folder of MC 360 and voila. That fixed my gsm bug.
