Honistly this is the most advanced chip install I probably ever seen for a console. I wouldnt bother messing with this modchip. I would just grab a 360 core and use that as a 2nd console.

I'd also like to add that from the people that have came to me with botched solder jobs on a xbox 1 mod chip install I cant see just anyone being able to do this install. Good luck people but I see ALOT of lifted traces and ALOT of people killing there drives doing this.

Soldering is no problem for me, and I dont care about Live. I'm going to get it so I dont have to keep flashing back and forth (it only takes it one time for the flash process to hang on ya). Yeah, the underdog chip is easier, but how are you going to dump your games?

if you have a sammy... the new FW works perfect, no need to ever flash again... unless of course you want the stock firmware.

this flood of firmware "modchips" is pretty gay imo,
they are taking commodore's work and trying to profit from it,
rather than making real advances.

furthermore,
knock on wood here, but there is currently no reason at all to even install any of these things
and i really hope i dont have to eat those words any time soon, cause i just renewed my live account

You'd have to STUPID to support this, it's like the 29 wire mod from XBOX1, but with smaller easier to lift solder points, no thanks. tongue.gif

What worries me more is the constant patching/unpatching; somewhere, something is going to mess up and you'll have a bad flash or otherwise brick your DVD drive (if I am to understand the workings of this thing correctly). I'd just as soon have two drives and swap them out tbh.

That is a great Idea

I am going to try that
2 drives and add a switch to go back and fourth

Also on the switch add another wired to cut the network cable so there is no chance of being on live when you switch to the hacked drive

Dam thats a great idea
