You guys are going to think i'm joking, and please forgive the noob post, but is there some trick i'm missing to taking off the case of my xbox?

I just took it out of my closet after about a year of sitting (i'm more of a pc gamer) and i can't see what i'm supposed to do to remove the case.

I see where the top part is connected, but see no screws. Am I supposed to pry (for lack of a better term) it off?

Thanks for the help unsure.gif

Took me about 30sec to go onto google and find a tutorial. dry.gif

BTW- Older boxs have one board screw holding the motherboard, and game port plugs in a different spot.

It worked, but i'm still having a bit of trouble solving my problem o.0

My disk tray won't open.. And i've got the xbox open, and the top taken off of the drive, and it still won't open the tray.. I can see the red laser and where the cd fits in, but when i press the button to eject, it won't.

Any suggestions? I'll try and look some stuff up on the site/forums.

Yes, check all the connections in the back. The same thing happened to me and I found that the yellow wires weren't connected to the mobo. You might have to take out the DVD drive to find out.
