My Setup is as follows. Brans New XBox 360 Premium, 26 Inch High Definition LCD Widescreen TV. I flicked the switch on the HD Cables to HD, connected them to my TV's appropriate area. Plugged my 360 in, turned my TV & 360 on, ran the setup, and went to change my display from 420p to 720p, and my screen looked terribly distorted, and then it reset itself back to 420p. So I tried the 1080i setting, and got the same terrible distortion followed by the XBox360 resetting back to 420p! I have a modded XBox as well, and it broadcasts in High Definition without a problem! Why does my XBox 360 only display in standard definition?!

Just beat the hell out of both the 360 and your HDTV; works for me.

some of the reply are hilarious, and some of you need to read his post again.

anyways, either your cable is damaged or you haven't plugged the cable goes to your TV correctly. or call micro$oft support.

I don't know if you were refering to my post, but if you were, there are many people who purchase a EDTV LCD, and think that it is actually a HDTV.
