HEHOH,

Ive a problem with restarting the xbox by gamepad.
when hitting the L Trigger + R Trigger + Start + Select Combo the xbox boots two times (the bootscreen with Evox Tag on the left up comes up two times).
the xbmc restart function (right botton on mainscreen) works well.
this phenomenon only happens when i set on the quickstart/quickpowerbios funktion in SmartxxV3 OS
no matter i use eject or power button.
dunno if its the bios, xbmc, smartxx os or just a wrong config anywhere.

thx 4 any hlp
pleasa

ive got a Xbox V1.6 with 400Gig Hdd and smartxxv3 os ver.3406 with evoxM8+16 Bios on the 1st bank
(LBA48 patched ->rest on F partition; 1st .xbe to boot is c:\XBMC\default.xbe).
ive also installed the newest xbmc vers. 13-09-2006 (T3ECH Release).

There are 2 different types of IGR for that m8 bios, if you open your bios file with evtool 1.0.9 see which one is selected, and then try the other one. Save the bios and flash it to a free bank and see what happens. You may have better results with one or the other....even better though....use a xecuter bios ...X2 5035 (1.6 variant)

Yes absolutely, and in practice is about the best BIOS out there, strongly recommend using this BIOS over pretty much any other.

Don't forget to use the readme and put the config file on E:\

is the config file embedded in the .bin file ?
do i need to extract it?
(i only got a bin file no readme or sth)
i also cant open it with xbtool.
what does the 137 in the filename stand for
(i got this: x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin and this: 512k.x2.5035.v16plus.137.rar ( a rar compressed .iso File with about
330M that contains a Bios and a dummy file))

please can s.o explain differencens and usage or post the readme here or give an advise where to get a serious version that contains all the stuff the distributor included on realease.

ps.: i tried M8+ with "quick" and it rules supreme wink.gif but i appreciate it if s.o. posts a detailed feature list of x2 and m8+
so that i can compare them (im sure that this exists already so a link would help much too)

If you don't have the readme nor the config file, the chances are it's not an official downlaod, and as such bets that readmes are not posted in case you don't actually have said correct BIOS file.

Have a look in the 'usual' places and you will find what you are looking for, the download itself should not be more than a couple of MB at most...

http://www.xbox-scen...lZyeSlsTtiY.php

Feature list wise is mentioned on the link I've provided, but the main thing is the X2 bios is fully config-able without needing 3rd party programs for it (notpad is good enough), and supports everything the Evox one does and a lot more...

Posting stuff like this is illegal, hence why people wont be putting direct links to the file here. sorry.

Same thing happens to me, i found it to be the xbmc dashloader thing, whatever you want to call it. The little app that boots and redirects to xbmc that causes the problem.

Its no big deal though.

If you are using the X2 BIOS as previously mentioned in this thread, you can abandon the XBMC Launcher shortcut you are using and instead add your XBMC path to the config.ini file that you place on the E partition.

That too will sort your double boot, but well done for spotting that one...

Not everyone wants to use an xecuter bios. smile.gif

Team XBMC should make the xbmc default.xbe look in its own root for all its needed data, then look up 1 level for an xbmc folder failing that, that'd be the perfect solution for the problem.
