I start by starting the console up in modeb with the remote as the front's been removed. When it's in modeb I start the PC with a MSI K8N Neo2 socket 754 board and watches it freeze at the SATA recognition phase. It's when it says:

Samsung SATA HDD drive recognized
360 SATA DVD-ROM recognized

Yadayada press <TAB> to do something

...when it freezes, just at the <TAB> thing. Anyone know what to do?

Ok, here's the entire screen the computer freezes at:

VIA Technologies . Inc. VIA 8732 RAID BIOS Setting Utility v1.10
Copyright © VIA Technologies, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Scanning Devices. Please wait...
Channel_0 Master: Samsung SP200LK (That's my HDD)
Channel_1 Master: HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR3120L

Press < TAB > Key into user window

I've waited 10 minutes and nothing.. the ctrl+alt+del command works though...

Lol, I fixed it myself using a rather obscure trick.

So my comp wouldn't let me get past the above window, right? Well, I just pulled the SATA cable for the 360, waited until that screen had passed, hooked it up again just before the SLAX cd booted up, the SLAX OS recognized the 360 drive and put it into mode B. smile.gif Now I've FW:ed it and I'm just waiting for my Verbatim DL-DVDs from Germany. muhaha.gif
