I did the unthinkable and bricked a hitachi drive, and then set upon a quest to replace it. I found no tutorials to help me, so i decided to write one as i have seen a few topics on how to do this.

thanks for the support guys.

im working on a newer version, with newer apps like 47flash instead of flashsec47 (the tools i used at the time) as i have recieved a few questions that i will answer in the new tutorial.

the newer version would be better yeah, its pretty confusion now for people who dont know the filenames has changed

can you do this with a new 32ce drive because in the garyopa package there is no flash32?

I have updated the tutorial to fix a few issues that a few people msged me about. now i have used the more up to date 47flash app as people did not know where to get flashsec47 and other variables of it. hopefully i have made it a bit more foolproof.

great tutorial. i'll be adding this to my collection of things i might need in the future smile.gif so far i have textbook/geebee's tutorial and this smile.gif garyopa's stuff is constantly updated but v2.1 is in there too tongue.gif

yeah i deleted the previous version as it was replaced by the new tut sorry for any confusion.

please follow the second link on the page for the v1.1 tutorial.

i am also currently working on v1.2 which will also cover the new 32 rev drives that some people are having problems with.
