I was looking on ebay for a 750 gb harddrive to put into my xbox.....but it seems like the sata drives go for cheaper than the pata drives. So I was thinking that maybe I could buy a sata 750 gb harddrive and then but this adaptor

and then install it in my xbox. Will this work? has anybody tried it?

I would read up on file corruption issues and any drives larger then 300g here at the scene

I fixed one a while back it was only 5 months old. A 350g Seagate or Maxor can't remember, started booting up slow, booting into game started not loading....then total no boot after 5 minutes to load.

formated drive guess what 2 months later same problems again..

Switched him back to a 250g no more problems ever since biggrin.gif

Yes it will work. I have used that adapter with a sata hd and it worked fine. You must format with 32k clusters in xbpartitioner to stop data corruption but you wont be able to use that whole hard drive. There is no bios that supports splitting f ang G equally and that is the only way to use the whole hard drive. You will have to have 137 on F and the rest on g formatted with 32k clusters, but you will only be able to use 512gb of about the 600gb on G

Why split it, Xbpartationer will do it all in F.
