Hi there,
Sometimes when I turn my xbox on it will turn on for a few seconds and then shut off, it will then turn off for a few seconds and turn off again, and then it will turn back on and stay on but I get x-mas lights. This only happens sometimes but when it does happen it is a hassle to get it to work. Sometimes it takes me a half hour of turning it on and off before it starts to work.

Could this be the BIOS?

I haven't done anything to it that could cause it to malfunction.

I have Xecuter3 with the X9977 ( or something similiar ) BIOS.

I would appreciate any help

Thanks.

Well your Xecuter 3 mod-chip might not be soldered properly I assume..............

And hey i have never heard of an x9977 bios for the xecuter 3. Well the latest is x3 3294 bios. Google this word and you download the bios. Then just flash this bios and see whether your problem gets fixed. If not then your xecuter 3 might hve not been soldered properly

Is the modchip soldered in at all?

Sounds like the usual solderless chip problem. If it aint soldered get it soldered. If it is check the LPC for a dry or loose solder joint.
