Hi all,
i have an internal wireless controller in my xbox, but it's range is somewhat limited. I want to take out the metal shielding so the signal has less resistance, but how do i ground the black wire coming off the reciever with it out?
I was thinking about just cutting the metal till im left with the bottom part to ground to but it's proving difficult to chop up.

Cheers

I had a similar problem with my wireless dongle. Removing the metal shield really helps. You could just solder the ground to the black wire from the controller port.

What metal shielding are you talking about??? The top that is under the cover ro the bottom under the motherboard? If you grounded the black wire to the metal shielding that is under the top cover then all you ahve to do is bend all the little metal tabs that keep it on up so that it falls right off, cut a little square of it off and tape it to the top and ground the black wire using the little square.

Cool, both seem simple, i didnt know you could use a small square of metal... thought it had to be big. Oh! i was talking about the bottom shielding

Cheers gents
