alright guys. just bought a hitachi 360 premium, waiting for the blaster360 to come out to flash my drive. but until then i wanna use the eject or hd cable trick to play my leagally owned back ups. cannot get this to work. has anyone got it working?

does this work with all hitachi drives, and whats the best media to use? my backups work fine on my samsung 360, im using ridiscs+r's dual layers. and non branded. they boot EVERYTIME on the sammy.

i've searched the forums and googled many times but cant find answers to my questions.

Are you saying that you haven't flashed your Hitachi yet....because you MUST flash in order to play backups. The boot trick was for older firmware that had problems reading some media. Newer firmware has removed certain media checks to make it read much better.
