Just Bought My Xbox 360, System Error

I just bougt my xbox 360 premium from Gamestation. I plugged everything in worked fine, i clicked join live as i have silvermembeship, it said download update or you'll be disconnected from live. So i downloaded the update then it came up with a system error and said to contact xbox support, they havnt replied but whats wrong i didnt do anything. Unmodified xbox btw any help thanks.

What kind of error?
Is it called E66 ??
Or E67 or what?

If you just bought it, I would take it straight back m8. Whatever the error there is no way I would send it away, just get the shop to exchange it.

yeah buddy of mine baught an xbox a week or 2 ago. came home, hooked it, ROL errors. took it back.
bring it back to the store.

I know this is a newbie forum.. but do people actually have to be told. If you buy it brand new and it does not work you bring it back??

there must be an issue going on with live b/c i just bought a brand spanking new system yesterday as well, and plugged it into live, it said it needed to download an update, i did so, the system rebooted, and i got the same error 71. needless to say, i returned it.

Maybe people like to spend $400 on a brand new unit, just to send it back to Microsoft and get a 'factory reconditioned' unit. Makes sense to me, no?
