I have a v1.0 Xbox with an Xecuter3CE and an Xapt3r solderless adapter. With it being a 1.0 box, I had to remove the solder from the Xbox's motherboard in order to fit the Xapt3r -- this worked for a while, but the slightest knock made the Xbox start fragging until I cracked it back open and reseated the modchip/Xapt3r.

Now it just frags all the time and I pretty much have to hold the Xapt3r in place for things to work. The end furthest from the screw doesn't make contact with the board properly unless held down.

What I'm wondering is: is it worth trying to solder the Xapt3r in place? Is this even sensible?

Thanks in advance!

Additional note: The 5v LED doesn't come on unless the Xapt3r is held down -- and even then it FRAGs...

Sticking the rivets in the LPC holes solved this for me. For anyone that might come across this in the future, soldering probably would've worked for me too.
