Default.xbe On Mandriva 2007

i know thisprobably isnt anything, but on the mandriva 2007 disk i noticed that there is default.xbe..... will give this a try later if anyone thinks its worth me burning it to a disk that can be read by my xbox

If I remember correctly Mandriva does support xbox now.
So it'll definately be worth a look.

hmm it didnt work couldnt launch the xbe in any way at all, will try taking it apart and seeing what it is

EDIT: right it definitly IS an xbox executable, judging by some of the info ive found in it, anyone have an idea about this?

That would be XCromwell, the xbox-linux bootloader. Xbox support was added in Mandriva LE 2005. However that was as a seperate, Xbox specific .iso. I hadn't heard anything about Xbox support in subsequent versions and assumed it had been dropped. What's in the linuxboot.cfg file? That's another Xbox specific file with boot options (path to kernel, etc.).

linuxboot.cfg contains this

although in isolinux there isnt a xbox folder at all
