I have a few motherboards and no harddrives to go with them. I also have a couple harddrives from that do not match these motherboards and was wondering if I could use one to to get any of them working? This will be something new for me. Any ideas?

You can put in a mod chip and get a new HD to work. After getting it to work, you can take out the chip and softmod the Xbox and use the chip to fix the others. Use a solderless adapter for that, otherwise solder the chip in for less problems.

Following the guide on Llama's page, you can unlock the drives without the origianl eeprom. Then you can use these drives to make them stock and sell them or you can put in larger HDs and use these smaller ones elsewhere.

Thanks 1hotjob. I'm trying to mod a RC Humve and I didn't want to strip one of my working boxes.
