Eide Interface Cable Same As Ide?

i was wonderin if EIDE interface cables are ther same as ide cables??? help me out before i b uy a new hd

The E stands for Enhanced. You can use a EIDE cable on a standard IDE device, but should not use a standard IDE cable on a EIDE device.

IDE stands for Integrated Drive Electronics .
