Hey Guys,

I have a damn problem.

In Summer I made me a lot of work.
I digitalized all of our old Video-Taps of the children, together the hole family in the mountain, on birthdays etc.
For that I bought a new cam for about 600 which can handle the old tapes and has a Firewire-Output. (Yes it is also digital, too.)
My thought was on Christmas when the hole family meets we can watch the dvds.

About one month ago my girlfriend (noob) choose in a game Xbox-Live.
As u can imagine what happend - I have the OpenXbox Chip with Evo-X - my Xbox-Menu is gone since then. No Mediacenter etc.
I had the plan to repair it in the christmas holidays...

because I never expectet that my damn DVD Player would have been crashed yesterday and doesnt open anymore... it's also a pitty, that my loved BigLebowsky-DVD is still in there... So I'm in the situation that I neither have a dvd-player nor a working xbox.... and tomorrow is x-mas.

So please forgive me that I don't read tutorials first or some other helping threads.
Please just be kindly - hey it's christmas wink.gif - and help me.

I still have one day, DVD+R, a fast Internetconnection and the knowledge how to use xbins wink.gif

.... So let's see how we can get this working.

You could try booting an evox boot disc and copy over the needed dashboard files.

Can you please tell me what file and where to get it? I think I've downloaded the wrong one.

ok first just get evox, then make a dvd in nero UDF/ISO I thaught, place the unzip evox on de dvd, you must rename the xbe to default.xbe and put that on dvd. Or you could try and put XBMC on a DVD as long everyting is one the root, when burining in the properties Xbox compatably mode must be checked wink.gif

Sorry, maybe I'm stupid - cant find the edit button blink.gif

What would even be more cooler than the old evo-x is if anyone knows how to make the xbmc the default dash? smile.gif

You could just download Slayers or AID to autoinstall for you.

Heya

Sry bout your xbox,

Your best bet is to download AID 3.0 Delux, burn it to a disc stick it ya dvd drive n load it, then install XBMC or any other dashboard to the hdd on the C:/ directory . i choose XBMC as its like windows media center and i love it, but each too there own you do not have to use XBMC any dash will do

Hope ya get it fixed, i really do
