I have a wireless network setup in the house. My laptop runs fine off of my dlink wireless router. I recently bought the microsoft xbox 360 wireless adapter and when i go into edit settings on my dashboard the adapter finds my network and says its connected. but when i try to test the media connection it says that it is not connected. xbox live wont connect. It has no trouble connecting to other wireless devices that are in the area but they have super low signal strength and also fade in and out. I would like to use my own so i dont have to worry about getting kicked off-line.

I have tried calling xbox support and they couldnt help.

I was hoping you guys had some ideas.

Just been through all this so here goes.

Had a Dlink wireless router a DI 524+
3 computers link to broadband just fine.
Xbox 360 works fine with cable
Xbox 360 will not work wirelessly

I had exactly same problem Xbox said it was connected and when testing connection it said failed.

Called microsoft and dlink and they could not solve problems.

Nephew had a DI524 and that works perfectly. It is something to do with the + bit.(Faster speed or something.)
Bought a cheap Micradigital router from Tesco for 45

Problem solved works a treat
