Hey I dont have XBlive and I dont think I ever will but from what I have read if your mod chip is on ad you load anything xboxlive like connect or download extra material your eeprom gets modified to ban you and you cannot connect. What I was wondering is that I once had a matrix that was a pain in the ass because the screw kept coming out so I would hold it over the spot to get my xbox to boot to my evox dashboard then remove it. Everything would load fine so the bios image must be stored somewhere in memory for this to occur either on the HD or another chip. Well if we coud develop a program to rewrite this chip with the original bios but still use our own modchips to boot homebrew software I think It might be possible to use XBlive with the modchip on

Most people in the scene are already aware of how XBL could be hacked. However, we choose not to implement it. Doing so would allow cheating to run rampant. If you want to play backups and/or cheat at online gaming, use XBconnect.
