I've followed the instructions from 360mods dummies and for some reason, I cannot read my drive.

I have Samsung MS28 using NTFS4DOS boot, TS-H943 FW 5.2b, every thing seem fine until I start the samread and it just hangs at "Copying hacked firmware", I've tried followed the instructions very careful but still same results. I am runing a SATA PCI with VIA VT6421L, I've use extreme boot maker to create the bin run samread but unable to pass this stage. Anyone with any suggestions why I can't backup my drive fw? I've just purchase this xbox very recently the drive have MFG date of 07/06. Thanks.

Try using a bootable USB stick or floppy

Put mtkflash.exe & mtkflash.typ onto a bootalbe floppy or usb

Type "mtkflash r /sata orig.bin" using 10 sec trick & test if it dumps

By the sound of things it is dumping but could behaving difficulty writing the files
