Hey everyone. I plan on softmodding my Xbox with the Splintercell/Mechassault/007 exploit.

After I do that and have EvoX installed, how do I install a larger hard-drive? Every guide i've read is different.

Here's what I understand...

1. Setup an FTP between my Xbox and my PC.
2. Backup my C-drive and EEPROM files
3. Take out old hard-drive
4. Put in new hard-drive
5. Put burned HDD boot disc into xbox to set it up.
6. Partition the new hard-drive into appropriate sections
7. Using FTP, restore the C-drive and EEPROM files into hard-drive.
8. Restart and play

How accurate is this? I've heard things talk about unlocking and locking hard-drives, but I dont want to play on Xbox Live or anything.

Thanks for the help!

Also, if I were to transfer a game, what file type would it have to be to run on Xbox, and where would I send it to?

(I've seen games in the .ISO filetype, would those run?)

Use your Original game and DVD2XBOX.

where would you "see" games in .ISO format?

My friend showed me this website called @2@%@, he said you could download games and FTP them to your xbox. I'm not saying I plan on doing that (I know it's illegal), but im just concerned.

Shouldn't I be able to rip a game to the hard-drive via dashboard?
