I am about to buy a premium xbox and wanted to know some about moding from the pro's...

I have modded my old xbox with your help now looking for info on the 360.

I have learned some from reading but now confusion has set in.

Looks like the new 360 isn't as easy to backup games as the original was... I would have to reflash the drive everytime I want to backup and play a game so that is alot of flashing... 2 times for each game. Would a modchip make it so I never have to do that? Or what? Does the Mod chip come preflashed? just plug and play?

I know this is a mess of questions but I just can't figure it out myself.

What I want it to be able to backup my games and play them as easy as possible... even if I have to crack open the case if it makes the future playing easier!

You flash the drive once and you are good to go. It you want to update the firmware when new features come out, then you may want to update your firmware, but not always necessary up flash the new firmware on every update.
