I have the Xbox networked to my PC via crossover cable. There is another NIC in the PC that is wireless and transmits to a wireless router (someones unsecured network). I enabled internet connection sharing on the wireless NIC, however the Xbox can't access the internet.

I have something like this:

Wireless Card: Obtain Auto (192.168.10.5)
Router Address: 192.168.10.1

PC Wired NIC:
IP - 192.168.10.2
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.10.5

Xbox IP: 192.168.10.3
submask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.10.2
dns 192.168.10.2

This configuration is probably wrong..

*Update*

I bridged these connections.. and set xbmc to DHCP.. works
Sorry for pointless post.
