PS2 to top market until 2009
Posted by XanTium | 12-3-2007 22:48 EST

From mcvuk.com:

US website Business Week has reported that it believes PS2 will continue to outsell every other machine on the market - including Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 - until well into 2008.

The site states that: "Sony will rake in some $1.4 billion this year from licence fees paid by game makers and sales of its own game titles for the PS2 and its predecessor, the PSOne. So it's clear Sony will want to milk the PS2 for all it's worth.

are they still making the console? I know MS isn't making the xbox1.
Sony's plan is to keep making a yesteryear console at the same time as their next-gen machine?

Seriously! Microsofts decision to kill off the xbox last year was disastrous imo. Everyone who bought that console last year will probably be extremly dissapointed with the fact that its already dead. PS2 owners will have a working console for years to come. When these XBOX and PS2 owners finally decide to upgrade into "next-gen", wich system do you think they will have more confidence in?
