What settings are best in MAMEoX for xbox at playing Crusin' USA and Mortal Kombat..? I have tried a few things and both of those type of games (and sequels) run at like two frames per sec. sad.gif. Are others experiencing this, or do I have something setup wrong in MAME?

Thanks.

Mame is programmed to be accurate, not to be fast..
those games simply wont run at an acceptable fps on the 733mhz xbox.

Mortal Kombat for example used a sound engine which uses alot of cpu power to run,
so if you want to play MK fullspeed turn off the sound in the emulator.

and cruising usa is a 3D game, and the xbox is not fast enough cpu wise to run 3D games under mame.

(and no a memory upgrade wont help in case you wanted to ask)

Ooops!

Any ideas to correct the painful slowdown we get on Double Dragon 1?
It's a old and small game... but unplayable when the screen gets crowded
with sprites!

You could try changing the sound settings to 22005 (something like that)
that should technically speed up the emulation a bit.

I don't have mameox installed myself (got tired of my 0.84 romset still having 50% incompatible roms eventhough i checked and scan them all)

so lemme know if this ups the speed.
