To help you out I'll need the diameter of the outside connector and the inside. Is the centre connector a pin or a hollow connector ? I don't think it's a EIAJ DC model connector as it would have a yellow cap - length of the connector would also help.

PS - there are probably 100's of these DC connectors out there so narrowing it down is gonna need the dimentions ...

ya i was thinking of this myself, but decided against it since it wouldn't be play and charge since the headset has to be off to charge the battery

you should be able to just take it down to radio shack and find something with the exact same time for under $5 then just find a usb cable you dont use

the good aspect of it is that the +5 usb is always on so you would be able to charge it without the 360 being on

I made an adapter just like this for a Fonera router of mine, its similar to that, except 3mm, i just stripped the wires, and connected the crap in the usb, clipped the usb data wires though, then electrical taped it. works good. that device uses way more power too.

usb is always on? then why would the console stay on for the PNC. ill check that when i get home. i already have a spare cut up usb cord. i wasnt aiming for a play and charge, it was so i dont have to find a plug somewhere around the house. i know thats not what you were implying though. i dont know why MS didnt think to include a cable for charging this way. then you would have two options. oh wait shitty x-clamps i guess they didnt think AT ALL!!
