Hey ya'll. I run XMugen on a 1.0 softmodded (softmod installer 5.0) XBOX and I am interested in upgrading the ram from 64mb to 128mb for possible gameplay speed increase while running this linmugen port. I have done alot of reading but am hoping for some guidance. I have a spare motherboard to desolder the needed ram from. I am pretty clear on how to install it on the new motherboard. But my understanding is I need to change the bios of the xbox to one that will detect this ram? Otherwise it wont even boot to like my softmod dash? Just hang once the ram is in? How can I install a bios to detect the ram upgrade on a softmodded xbox? I have come across some suggestions like pbl pheonix bios loader but have had no luck in using it. I have also read it is possible to do this by bridging a location on the motherboard and then changing bios via pc? Any help guidance is greatly appreciate.
